Infrared Light Therapy is a safe and effective therapy that uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate below the skin layers. Infrared light therapy assists cells, muscle, tissue and skin to regenerate and repair themselves and improves the circulation of oxygen-rich blood.

Infrared light has been scientifically proven to deliver numerous health benefits including cellular detoxification, pain relief, improved circulation, increased endorphins, weight loss, relaxation, increased collagen production for anti-ageing and the reduction of blood pressure, cortisol and inflammation. Infrared light is the soothing heat people feel when exposed to the sun but without the harmful UV rays. Sunlighten Infrared saunas do not require high heat and provide an experience to be enjoyed - not endured.

Your session FAQs

  • We recommend either wearing swimmers or you can wrap the towel provided around you into the sauna.

    Bring loose clothing to wear after your session. You may bring a drink bottle with water only.

    A water cooler is available in the room.

  • Absolutely you can! We charge an extra $15 per session for an additional person if you bring a friend.

  • Infrared saunas work on a cellular level to penetrate human tissue and raise the body's core temperature, helping the body detoxify. Traditional saunas heat the air and the internal cabin which causes your body to sweat as a natural mechanism to cool down. For this reason, infrared saunas are very gentle and are more effective at a comfortable operating temperature. By raising the body's core temperature infrared saunas produce a sweat composed of 20% toxins compared to only 3% toxins with a traditional sauna.

  • This depends on your personal goals and what you are hoping to achieve. If you are using the infrared sauna for a specific health reason such as a cleanse or detoxification you may find a greater benefit from using the infrared sauna more frequently; 2 to 3 times a week.

    Infrared saunas are safe to use every day.

  • Yes, we do have a public shower in a separate room to rinse off in swimmers, however it is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes after your session before showering. Your body can continue to perspire for up to 30 minutes after an infrared sauna. It is best to have a shower when you get home to allow your body to naturally cool down.

    We do recommend showering when you get home to clean and remove old skin cells, toxins and sweat residue that’s risen to the surface of the skin during your session.
